RIMAP performs: Eigenvalue analysis, Stability Maps, Campbell Diagram, and Critical Speeds for synchronous excitation or excitation: 0.5X, 1X, 2X, 3X, 4X, or user defined 2D and 3D Mode Shapes.
An important analysis tool is the Undamped Critical Speed Map. This calculation obtains the change in critical speeds as bearing/support stiffness varies, to quantify a machine's criticals, and the effects of stiffness changes.
A particularly important module within RIMAP is the Unbalance Response Module; whereby an understanding of the effects of correction weights across an entire rotor's span, throughout its operating speed range, provides a handy tool for field balancing practioners, for efficient balancing runs of large turbomachinery.
